Cloud Native Computing Foundation Accepts Quantum-Initiated Storage Project

CNCF Recognizes Rook Project for Enabling Storage Systems to Run Directly on Top of Cloud Native Environments

SAN JOSE, Calif., Jan. 30, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — Quantum Corp. (NYSE: QTM) today announced that the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) has voted to accept Rook, the open source project Quantum initiated, as a hosted project. Rook is a cloud native storage orchestration solution for modern data centers that simplifies container storage services. It provides the benefits of cloud infrastructures to both public cloud and on-premise environments, including the ability to flexibly allocate file, block and object storage to different application and business units.
