Microsoft Malaysia kicked off the new year with the announcement of three new appointments to its leadership team, further cementing its commitment to enabling digital transformation for its customers and partners across the private and public sectors in Malaysia.

Taking on the role of Chief Marketing & Operations Officer, Azizah Ali will lead business operations, marketing strategy, and overall business performance for the various business groups under Microsoft Malaysia while delivering successful digital transformation for its customers and partners. In addition, Azizah will play a critical role in building the Marketing & Operations (M&O) team to drive the company’s Bersama Malaysia initiative, particularly with the establishment of its first datacenter region in the country.

Azizah has been with Microsoft for more than two decades, helming various leadership roles in the Asia Pacific region. Previously the Director of SMC Group, Azizah was instrumental in driving the Malaysian subsidiary’s performance – delivering double-digit growth across Corporate and Small & Medium Businesses.

“I am humbled to be entrusted with this new role, carrying on the journey of realizing Microsoft’s vision to empower every person and every organization in Malaysia to achieve more. Guided by our Bersama Malaysia initiative, I am thrilled to play a bigger part in enabling the digital transformation among Malaysians and organizations.”

With that in mind, I am grateful to be undertaking a role that caters towards the digital needs of different entities. SMCs are crucial for the success of our nation’s inclusive economic growth, and I look forward to closely supporting their journey.”
