Friday night in and hungry? Order your favorite pizza with your Amazon Echo. You can order from Domino’s, Pizza Hut and Papa John’s from the comfort of your couch without ever picking up the phone. Just use your voice.
If you have an Alexa-enabled device (Amazon Echo, Echo Dot or Echo Show) then you can use your voice to order your favorite pizzas. No movement necessary. Domino’s, Pizza Hut and Papa John’s all have Alex skills that allow you to do this.
First thing’s first: You will need to verify your Amazon account and your pizza profile account to complete the buying process. This step is required for your safety since you are authorizing your Amazon device to make a purchase from your credit card.
Okay, here’s how to order pizza using your Amazon Echo device:
Bonus: if you order the same pizza often, add it to your favorites to speed things up.
Allow Domino’s to access your email address associated with your Domino’s account and save this permission for future orders. Sign into your Domino’s Pizza Profile.
To order:
If you frequently order from Domino’s, then speed up the process by saying “Alexa, open Domino’s and place my Easy Order.”
Make sure your payment information is linked to your Pizza Hut account.
To order, say “Alexa, open Pizza Hut” to open up the app. Alexa will ask you to select a past order, favorite or a new order.
Make sure that your payment information is linked to your Papa John’s account and that you have verified your account. Alexa will verify your address.
Note: Unlike the other two pizza places, you will only be able to use your Echo to order pizza from Papa John’s if you have a favorite saved or your most recent order.
To order, say “Alexa, open Papa John’s” and place your pizza order.
