KUALA LUMPUR, 13 January 2020 – Microsoft Malaysia has appointed Eric Oh (picture) as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) effective late 2019. Oh’s role in Microsoft Malaysia will leverage his experience in finance and business management to work with the Malaysian team to achieve sustainable long-term growth, whilst also having the impacting business results and operational effectiveness across a breadth of functions.
Oh began his career at Microsoft in 2014 in the Korea division as its Profit and Loss (P&L) Lead. During his tenure, he significantly influenced the way the division was governed, which led him to achieve the Center of Excellence (CoE) award in 2015. In 2016, Oh was appointed as the Enterprise and Public Sector Finance Manager for Microsoft Korea and was the finance front-end specialist for the structure and economics of large deals. Oh’s most recent appointment was as the Group Finance Manager in Microsoft France, offering central finance support across key field and finance leaders within the company.
Prior to working at Microsoft, Oh accumulated a vast amount of experience at Doosan (one of the largest conglomerates in Korea), and Humax (a leading consumer electronics company), where he established and led the finance organisation in Poland.

A graduate with a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Calgary, Oh has also earned a Master’s in Business and Administration from IE Business School. As a driven professional, Oh places business growth and development as his top priority, whilst also caring about the people he works with and the customers that he supports.
